HANDBELL CHOIRS
LITURGICAL HANDBELL CHOIR
Did you ever want to play a musical instrument but never had the opportunity? We need people who are willing to ring bells for the Handbell Choirs at SMM! Although music reading is helpful, it is not required. We rehearse in the church on Thursday evenings from 6:45p.m. — 8:20p.m. To join, please contact Mary Murphy at the parish office. Adult Choir
Adult Choir is a community of men and women who love to sing, and are committed to support and enhance the assembly’s worship on Sunday and Feast day liturgies. We sing a wide variety of musical styles - contemporary, traditional, classical, and gospel. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings, 6:45p.m. — 8:45p.m., and the choir is in recess through the summer months.

Cantors
Cantors perform an important ministry by leading the assembly in sung prayer. We welcome inquiries by those who would like to learn more about being a cantor at SMM.

Youth Choir
Youth Choir welcomes all youth singers in grades 4 – 12. This choir sings an average of two liturgies per month, and is in recess throughout the summer months. Rehearsals are between Masses on Sunday morning, from 9:45a.m. — 10:45a.m. The Youth Choir is an extension of the Youth Ministry here at SMM. Youth are welcome to inquire about serving in various liturgical ministries as lectors, greeters, ushers, and/or music ministers.

Junior Youth Choir
Junior Youth Choir (which includes children in Grades K - 3) sings for Masses during the Christmas and Easter seasons, Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and various other times during the year. They also help to teach music to the 2nd Graders who are preparing for Holy Communion. We rehearse September through Pentecost. This is a great way to introduce your child to music in a faith-filled environment. Invite a friend! Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 9:45a.m. – 10:30a.m. in Room B3 of the SMM center, unless otherwise noted. Come and make a difference in our parish family!

Schola
Scholas are small groups of singers (usually 4-8) who lead the assembly in sung prayer. They often sing in four-part harmony and rehearsal time is limited. Scholas sing several times throughout the year.

Resurrection Choir
The Resurrection Choir sings for the funerals at St. Margaret Mary Church. This ministry is meant to bring glory to God and consolation to the bereaved. Members of the Resurrection Choir and families of the deceased have both expressed appreciation for this beautiful ministry.
