After the Ministries of Word and Sacrament, Hospitality is one of the most important ministries in the Church. Hospitality is not simply or primarily about serving cookies or meals at parish gatherings. Nor is hospitality the responsibility of only a few people. It involves everyone in one way or another.
By experiencing true hospitality, guests find a place of belonging and care among the members of the Church. They sense that they, too, are part of the Church family, with new relationships, friendships, and new places to serve. In the context of hospitality, visitors and all members can come to appreciate the unconditional love of God for them in Jesus Christ. Truly hospitable people leave an indelible mark in the lives of others whom God sends at just the right time!
The Ministry of Hospitality is part of our past history as a parish. Looking forward, we want to further incorporate this vision of hospitality into everything we do and in the way we work together in fulfilling the parish’s mission of “inviting all to the table.”
Mercy Meals
Mercy meals are provided for families who experience the death of a loved one. Parishioners donate their time to this ministry to prepare and serve these meals. If you are interested in assisting with this ministry contact the parish office.
